How to operate the self-priming gasoline engine water pump

Gasoline engine water pump is a widely used pump that can be used in fields such as agricultural irrigation, urban drainage, emergency drainage, etc.

There are many types of water pumps for our gasoline engines, including self-priming pumps that fill the pump body with water, self-priming pumps that do not have water, and centrifugal pumps that fill the pump body with water through the inlet pipe. The power they are paired with is mostly single cylinder air-cooled gasoline engines. Self priming 2-inch to 3-inch gasoline water pump paired with 170 gasoline engine, 4-inch to 6-inch gasoline water pump paired with 190F gasoline engine.

Below: We will explain the operation methods of several gasoline water pumps, using a single cylinder air-cooled gasoline engine as an example;

After receiving the new machine, we need to check if the packaging box is damaged;

2. Install accessories such as shock absorbers or moving wheels for the water pump frame;

3. New machines must first add engine oil. For 170 series gasoline engines, add 0.6L of engine oil, and for 190 series gasoline engines, add 1.1L of engine oil;

4. Add 92 # gasoline;

5. Choose the appropriate inlet pipe according to the diameter of the pump, usually using a transparent steel wire pipe, which is fitted onto the inlet joint of the pump, clamped with a clamp, the flat washer inside the joint is placed, and the joint screw is tightened; Connect the filter screen to the other end of the inlet pipe;

Attention: In this step, the inlet pipe and joint must be tightly tied to prevent air leakage, otherwise water cannot be sucked in;

6. The self suction pump for drinking water needs to be filled with water inside the pump body; If it is a centrifugal water pump, the inlet pipe should be filled with water first, and the pump body should also be filled with water; If it is a self-priming pump without water, there is no need to fill water, and the machine can be operated directly to fill water;

7. Prepare to operate the gasoline engine by manually starting the engine. First, turn on the engine switch and turn it to the ON position. Then, turn on the oil circuit switch, usually on the right side, and close the air door, usually on the left side, which is OFF. You can manually start the gasoline engine. After the gasoline engine is running, make sure to open the air door and push it to the ON position on the right side; You can adjust the throttle size.

When shutting down, first reduce the throttle and run for 1-2 minutes, then turn off the engine switch;

Pay attention to maintenance: If the gasoline engine is used for the first 20 hours, please change the oil, and then change the oil every 50 hours after use;

After each use, please drain any residual water from the pump body;
